Christmas Plaque 2019
Good morning all, I have another Christmas Creation to show you all. Sorry for the delay with it, this week seems to have disappeared yet again.
I have had a busy week but I have been up really early most mornings and have managed to get quite a lot done. I live beside a rather busy and noisy road and being up early (although at times exhausting) is wonderful because it is so quiet and peaceful. In those few hours before I open the curtains and let the world in I am able to get lots done.
I decorated a wooden plaque last year with a Snowman and also one with a Reindeer. This year I decided I would make one with a Christmas Tree and Reindeer and of course a poinsettia (I love Poinsettias - my second favourite thing to Snowmen and Snowflakes at Christmas).
I love making these, I actually find the filing around the sides very therapeutic. Lol.
The tree came from The Works, I glittered it with glitter embossing poweder, I am not sure which one I used as I have several ... it may have been Wow! The small reindeer is from my craft stash although I think it is also from The Works. I inked it with gold ink and the embossed it with the same powder.
The poinsettia is Marianne Design, the holly is Apple Blossom (Craft Stash) and I think the pine cones are Craft Emotions. It is from a small set with an owl and a branch.
I have used the plain modge podge because I had glittered the embellishments. I used twine for hanging and added a gold bell (also from The Works) and finished it off with some Beresford checked ribbon (red/natural). I really like this ribbon for Christmas.
I didn't add a Christmas greeting as the paper had writing on it. I really enjoyed making it and plan on some more before Christmas .... that's if time permits as we have lots on in November (which I can't believe starts next week.)
I am going to go now and get myself organised to start the day properly. I hope you all have a Fab Friday and a wonderful weekend.
I will keep posting as soon I have some bits and pieces made.
Bye for now.
Take care, Heather :)
