Christmas Decoupaged Lantern

Evening everyone ... it seems Christmas is very much in full swing in my house and yet come December I know I will be as disorganised as ever, lol!!!

I hope you have all had a great day, my day has just flew and here I am at 6.20pm and still have lots I want to do,  I will however stop, spend some time with Poppy and do my best to relax just a little.

Now before I start to tell you all about this lantern, I really and truly am no decoupage expert, in fact it never seems to work out for me but as always I enjoyed doing it and as I have said many times that is the most importnat thing!

This is the Christmas version of the one I did earlier in the year ... these napkins were a gift to my Mum from one of her friends and I really loved them because there was a robin on them and they look a little snowy so I could add a snowflake.

I used Modge Podge and of course the napkin wrinkled on me but as I think these lanterns do look somewhat vintage, I thought the wrinkle was okay.  To be honest I have no idea how to get it smooth without tearing it.  My Mum is the expert at that! I may have to take a few lessons!

I added some ribbon and a wooden snowflake with a bow and bell.  I sparkled the Snowflake with Wow! embossing powder.

I finished it off with some Stardust Stickles around the inside edge of each side.

Despite it not being as perfect as I would have liked it, I am happy with it and am looking forward to getting some batteries into it and seeing it lit up.

I have some more projects in the pipeline but these will not be ready until next week.

Thank you to everyone who follows this blog, I thoroughly enjoy making all of my creations for it and writing about them and I appreciate you all popping by.

Please feel free to ask me any questions at all ... I will always do my best to help. (Contact details are below).

I hope you all have a restful evening, a Fabulous Friday and an Amazing Weekend.

Bye for now.

Take care,  Heather x
