Christmas Cards - August 2019
Good morning, it's a beautiful Sunday morning, the sun is shining and I am planning to have a very chilled out day :)
Thank you to everyone who attended my classes this week, as always I had two very enjoyable evenings.
Above are the cards we made ... you would never guess I loved dogs, lol :)
The first card started as a completely different card when I first went to the Craft Room but this is how it turned out. I love this window die set and I have used it many times. It is from Stampin Up, as is the poinsettia punch I used for the flower. The church stamp and die set is a Recollections set. I covered the window with snowy acetate although it is a little hard to see in the photograph. I had lots of off cuts from last year's box frames so I thought it was an excellent way of using it. When I was finished this card I thought there was something missing so I added the little wooden snowflake at the top corner. I glittered this with Stardust Stickles.
The little puppy from the second card is also from a Recollections stamp and die set, there are 3 puppies in the set and they are all adorable. The kennel is from a set I had in my craft stash - the brand is Amy Design . I have used the Stampin Up snowfall embossing folder which seems to be my most used folder at Christmas - I tend to use it on almost every card. The snowflake is also one of my most added embellishments on my Christmas cards as I think it fills an empty space and looks well at the same time.
The last card is my favourite, the lamp post is my most recent purchase - it is a Tim Holtz Sizzix Bigz Die and I love it!! It cuts incredibly well and I am also able to cut two of each item at a time. The little dog and bone are from a Sizzix Thinlits Die Set called Country Canines. This is quite a quick card to put together once all the pieces have been cut out.
My next Christmas Card Classes are on Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th September.
I hope you all have the most fantastic day and a fun filled Bank Holiday weekend. :)
I will be back soon with some more Craft Creations.
Bye for now.
Take care, Heather
